Ou Bei Shu Neng has successfully completed the UPS battery project for the Surgery Room Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) at Nanjing Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital. The UPS power backup battery pack was replaced, using Schneider UPS battery model M2AL12100CFR (12V100ah) with 34 cells, meeting all the specified project requirements from the client.
The steps and requirements for replacing the batteries in the UPS power supply for the surgery room are as follows:
1. Safety Precautions: Before starting the battery replacement process, ensure that the UPS power supply is turned off and disconnected from the main power source to prevent electrical hazards. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety glasses.
2. Identify Battery Type: Determine the type and specifications of the batteries used in the UPS power supply. Refer to the manufacturer's documentation or labels on the batteries to ensure you select the correct replacement batteries.
3. Battery Removal: Carefully remove the old batteries from the UPS power supply. Follow the manufacturer's instructions or guidelines for proper battery removal. Be cautious while handling batteries, as they may be heavy and contain hazardous materials.
4. Battery Disposal: Dispose of the old batteries in accordance with local regulations and environmental guidelines. Contact your local waste management facility for proper battery disposal procedures.
5. Battery Installation: Insert the new batteries into the UPS power supply, following the manufacturer's instructions and ensuring proper polarity (positive and negative terminals). Securely fasten the batteries in place to prevent movement or damage during operation.
6. Battery Connection: Connect the battery terminals to the UPS power supply, ensuring correct polarity. Double-check the connections to ensure they are secure and tight.
7. Test and Verify: Once the battery replacement is complete, turn on the UPS power supply and perform a thorough test to ensure proper functioning. Monitor the UPS system to verify that it is providing uninterrupted power supply to the surgery room equipment.
8. Maintenance and Documentation: Maintain a record of the battery replacement, including the date, type of batteries used, and any other relevant details. Regularly schedule maintenance checks to monitor the battery performance and replace them as needed according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
It is important to note that the above steps are general guidelines, and specific procedures may vary depending on the UPS power supply model and manufacturer. Always refer to the manufacturer's documentation and guidelines for accurate instructions on battery replacement for your specific UPS system.
